Spring Pleasure: Wildflowers

There is a patch of wild violets that grow in the back corner of our yard. Every spring, I find it such a simple pleasure to walk back there and enjoy their simple beauty. And every spring I remind my husband to not mow their little corner while they are in bloom. Today the kiddos and I gathered a little tussie-mussie for the window sill. A little candle votive makes a perfect vase.

A 'tussie-mussie'? They are beautiful. You need to take a close up picture of them to send to me so I can paint a picture of them!

I wish I had some flowers growing in my yard.

Never mind...I can make the picture bigger. Are these violets, or pansies?
