One student delights herself in pulling every book, pencil, puzzle piece and assorted activities out of their home. Loves to lounge around and flip through books. Knows how to use pencils, markers, crayons- has great form- just needs to learn where it is appropriate to apply their color.
One student never tires of being read to... is constantly asking "Can you read this to me?" Loves to draw people with eyes and legs, enjoys cutting paper into tiny pieces with scissors, and is enthralled with applying glue...and glue... and glue. Favorite part of the school day: reciting the pledge of allegiance.
One student is highly gifted in all types of fine-motor skills, detail oriented, thrives on explicit structure. Is frustrated with teacher-initiated interruptions. Enjoys taking his time to get the job done. Proficient in artwork, and creative applications.
One student doesn't need to be in school yet, but insists of his own will- is quick and to the point with his school work. Gets the job done quick as a wink, and is proud of it. It is evident when something strikes his interest by the gleam in his eye. Currently enthralled with the fact that Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain in the world. Experiments with catapulting pencils.
One teacher has a re-newed respect for one-room school houses. Thrives on the encouragement of the Superintendent. Prays daily for creativity, strength, paitence, and confidence.
