Flash Back

The kids were on the front porch this morning, setting a table for a play "dinner". As I headed to the kitchen to grab a snack for them I had a sudden craving for a snack that my grandma always served us at her house: oyster crackers with mini-marshmallows. We used to squish the marshmallows between the tiny crackers and pretend that they were tiny hamburgers.

By some strange co-incidence, there are oyster crackers in the cupboard. (I don't usually buy them, but a while back there was an absurdly good sale- like 3 bags for $1.18. I thought they may be add some fun variety for snack time. No mini-marshmallows, though. We do always have raisins in stock...

So raisins and oyster crackers it is. Not quite the same as the old days... but reliving the memories is still fun.
