A Great Project: Kid-tested, Mother approved!

Hear ye, hear ye! Any one who ever works with young ones should file this idea away into their bag of tricks!

This weekend we made kites. This very simple pattern for a bumble bee kite uses only basic supplies, and the results are tons of fun! We did them with a group ranging in ages 2-adult. We allowed plenty of time for them to color their plain white paper solid with lots of color (no white showing!) Amazing man did a pretty amazing design, too, and he enjoyed every minute of it. Then he attatched a realllllly long string, and the kids all got a great thrill watching him run and get it up in the air! It was a great project, and gets the kids a-running. They ran, and ran, and ran... with those kites a-sailin' in the air behind them! Needless to say, they slept very well last night!
