Amid a "springy break", we have had a couple of play days with friends who were off school, spent more and more time outside, and are in the midst of preparing for TWO birthdays. We keep these affairs quite simple, yet when Easter, and two family birthdays arrive within a week of each other, simple has a way of wanting to become complicated. Parties for our family are generally a few relatives coming to enjoy the day/weekend. This is adds enough numbers and excitement to make a "party" for us!
B-day # 1 Someone in our family (not me) is celebrating a milestone birthday- having to do with a hill, and going over it. (hint, hint) This means some interesting surprises to eat, and to see. I'll explain later :)
B-day #2 N will be turning 5. He is not much of a sweets boy, so instead of cake- we are baking 5 different kinds of cookies. I am trying to bake a batch here and there, and hide some of each batch in the freezer for party day. (for a family that loves home-made cookies, and a cookie-mom, this is a difficult endeavor!)
I intend to post updates and pics after the busy weekend.
Meanwhile,
Enjoy Spring!!
