All In A Week's Time

Oh, the wonders of spring in the heartland!

Thursday: sudden burst of rain turned into a 5 minute noisy pea-sized hail storm; topics of discussion while we watched: review facts about how hail is formed, the OT plagues, and "can we go out and play in it when it's over"?

studying, tasting, and describing hail

Friday: braved the bitter wind and flurries to make several outings
Saturday: awoke to 5 inches of snow
Sunday: bundled for church; saw several accidents and cars in the ditches on our way
Monday: went out to play in the snow; made snow angels and a snowman
Tuesday: went sledding; knocked down ice cicles for licking
Wednesday: went for a walk; observed melting snow
Thursday: spent all afternoon out in the 70 degree day and let the sun kiss our bare arms! This was a day for washing the van, sorting my seeds and...

I found L mourning the loss of the snowman...
right before taking the last stomp on the only pile of snow left!

I found monkeys in the tree!

and Indians practicing archery

and an interesting growth on a tree, which we still can't figure out what it is.

That sounds as unpredictable as Texas weather, except ours ranges from 70s to 100s. :-)

Looks like you had a fun week! Too bad Bagump isn't there to help identify the plant. :)
