Celebrating

The past weekend was ours to celebrate the father/son birthday duo. We had a wonderful time just being together as a family.

When the boys asked their dad what he wanted for his birthday he told them "a Lego set". Their very unselfish, thoughtful father knew that this would be something that the boys would love choosing for him, and also something that would provide bonding time for them as they spent time putting it together. And so it did!

N turned six.
He is a smart boy with quick wit, a gentle heart and a contagious laugh!!

He enjoyed gifts in the mail from extended family, and even some gift money to add to his savings for a very special Lego set.

He chose snickerdoodle cookies for his birthday treat, and enjoyed taking some to share with his Sunday School class on Sunday.

And of course, we partook in our family tradition: a trip to the corner bakery for fresh "birthday donuts".
