Getting Back to the Basics

Slowly, surely we are getting back to a daily routine. After lots of company, and all the excitement of the holidays things are finally settling down. We have taken this week just to "decompress". I have actually gotten some deep cleaning and organizing done (things I wanted to do before company came, but just didn't get to.)



Monday we will "go back to school". I sat down yesterday and did a "mid year review" of my scope and sequence (sounds so official doesn't it?). It was very encouraging to see how much we have accomplished. And it was exciting to see where we will go next in our studies.



Even when school is not officially in session- the things we have studied ooze out into every day play. If you can see through the busy carpet- on his own J came up with his version of hieroglyphics out of building blocks: read right to left.
