This morning we mourned the passing of our beloved pet, Firecracker the Fish. He was a point of great amusement for our family for a year and a half. He was the perfect pet.
There was not a dry eye in the house as we said good-bye to him. He was given a "proper burial" as we dismissed him to "the river". N said, "Look, he is still smiling, Mom." Sad day for us, but we are glad Firecracker was happy when he died.

How sad, but at least you had him for a long time. Most goldfish last about a week!
Maybe you can take one of those sweet puppies home! LOL
He was a beta fish.
And since we get to choose between a puppy or a daddy who can breathe freely- we will choose a daddy. :)
