We do try to do some of those "fun school-ish things" that I remember from my school days. Today we made the classic "Valentine Mailboxes". We used oatmeal tubes and the kids decorated and wrapped them with paper. We cut a slit in the plastic lids- and presto: great festive mailboxes. Now they are busy writing and delivering "mail" to each other- and constantly checking their own for any new "deliveries". Of coarse, this also provides the perfect opportunity to draw attention to the proper addressing of envelopes, and all the capitalization rules, etc...
Check them out!
It is a great privilege to be a keeper of the home. This blog is my tribute to the joy of motherhood, the peacefulness of home living, and the beauty of family life.

Guess I'll get my valentines in the mail for the little ones. They are ready to go, so when they get there, you can put them in their boxes!
What a cute idea!
