What's Up Today

We are loving the Draw Write Now series by Marie Hablitzel and Kim Stitzer:  a drawing and handwriting course for kids.  Lily is drawing such adorable farm animals as she works through book one.  We've simply checked the books out at our library, but it would be an excellent collection to own.

Today D enjoyed mixing up some no-bake cookies from Grandma's hand-written recipe card.  I was explaining to them that this recipe was one of their Daddy's favorites that she used to make for him.  The kids thought it was fun to know that their Grandma cooks, too!

D found a four leaf clover!

Spring is serving up some humid heat today.  Much of our garden has finally been planted, so hopefully the little seeds will enjoy the greenhouse effect in the forecast and get to growing.   Already harvested a bit of rhubarb.  Some lettuce is sprouting and radishes are starting to pop up.  We are late this year getting some of our produce in, but doing what we can!
